The choice of our shoes says a lot about who we are and how we feel

The best thing about shoes must be, that they're always there for you. No matter how bad a day you have or how chubby you feel, you can always fit into your shoes.

But what is it with us women and shoes? Why are we so incredibly fond of them, when we could just walk in flat shoes and our life would be so much easier. Maybe not quite as fancy, but easier. Sneakers, however, just doesn’t have the same feel to them as heels and they definitely don’t make the fancy clicking sound.

High heels just feels better, provide a little more respect, longer legs and a (slightly) higher butt. Absolutely not something you would say no to. Moreover, the way we walk (can) become more elegant in high heels and we often feel more feminine, which gives us a stronger or perhaps just more confident radiance.

Unfortunately, It can be really hard to wear high heels and not everyone is born with the ability to walk perfectly on small pointy ends and walk like a pro, the first time you try them on. It requires practice, patience and a pair of really good shoes.

Roccamore shoes have been tested by Hvidovre Hospital to reduce the pressure in the arch by 44%, in the forefoot by 26% and 19% in the heel. A clear difference which can be felt.

I very strongly believe, that if women stopped wasting time feeling worthless and insecure, that they could do so much more. Think about how much energy is wasted by feeling down. Energy that could have been used to say “scred that, here I come!”

The small clicking sound from wearing high heels, provide a feeling of total control and power. I am very fond of the “Here I come” feeling, when doing big presentations, in classy company where I usually don’t feel I belong and generally just when I’m feeling distant and a little insecure.

Kind of like one of my great idols, Maren Uthaug always does. She often wears her roccamores on stage, demanding a little extra respect and showing of her looonngg legs. And it just looks good. The picture above is from Bogmessen and Maren's interview about her amazing book "Hvor der er fugle."

Maren is one of my idols, when it comes to a positive take on life. She does everything with humor and never takes things too seriously. A lot of people could probably learn something from her and I’ll be the first to wear a pair of glitter socks the next time I’m in a bad mood.
